Belgrade based designer, Milica Vukadinovic has a distinctive eye for creating unique and interesting menswear collections. Showcasing her menswear collection this evening at Brighton Fashion Week Zeitgeist Show, her collection looks to challenge the relationship of a man and a boy. Testing the boundaries of the self-conscious man intertwined with the vulnerability and honesty of the boy – Vukadinovic will challenge stereotypes and convey this journey throughout her collection.
Her collection has a playful yet precise feel to it. Experimenting with colours and lines, draping and layering, it is almost a shame she has not designed a female collection. I love the colour blocking and relaxed look of the fabrics. They look welcoming.
Quite often than not, I rock out some menswear. I could see certain items from this collection being rehashed in my wardrobe. Just replace some of those trousers with leggings and heels and hey presto.
This year in particular Brighton Fashion Week will showcase a diverse range of designers both on the Menswear and womans wear side. Milica Vukadinovic will definitely be one to watch. Brighton would lap up these garments in a heartbeat. What do you think boys?
