#tbt to Bubbles, Bloggers and Blowdries @ Forde Hair, Brighton.

As Fashion and Beauty writers we get invited to all kinds of fabulous events ( We know! It’s a tough job but somebody’s got to do it hey!) but one of our favs is still the wonderful Bloggers, Bubbles and Blowdries event we were kindly invited to hosted by Forde Hair Brighton in association with hair tool experts Corioliss.

So in the spirit of #tbt we thought we would love to share this one with you again! Upon arrival we were welcomed with a glass of pink bubbly, and because it was an early evening event our hosts had provided delicious Shushi too. There was also a gorgeous cupcake from Angel Food Bakery.

Each of us had been allocated our own stylist – adding to the attention to detail both our hosts and Corioliss had taken into consideration in planning their event. We were seated against a fabulous Vogue wallpaper background, which we both loved being magazine fanatics! This is just one of the unique and quirky interior design features at FORDE Hair in Brighton. The Vogue covered wall paper in the ladies room was a great backdrop for a cheeky selfie also! Talking of which we also had to do in the fabulous downstairs mirror…….

    About the hairstyles:

We both settled in handing over full creative licence to our stylists Sam and Salon director and owner Gary Forde, leaving us free to chill out and have a catch up with one of our fav fellow bloggers Debs from Diary of an honest woman. They set to work, Gary working on Danielle’s hair and Sam on Natalie’s.

So what did we think?

Danielle: Gary used the fabulous Corioliss Wavers on my hair, which made me instantly feel like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. Think VA Va Voom waves. My hair is impossible to style because it is so poker straight, Corioliss Wavers managed to create the most flattering voluminous waves which lasted for three days!!! I looked and felt like a million dollars!

Natalie: Sam used the straightening irons on mine to create a beach wave which I loved. I was surprised at how good this was and like Danielle’s it lasted me into the next day too, meaning I looked and felt very glam for the school run the next morning! Always a bonus!!

Time for a catch up and to check out each others hair

After we had all had our hair done we gathered together for a chat with our fellow bloggers. It was lovely to catch up with the gorgeous Fizzy Peaches, Bella Du Brighton, Sophie Rose Hearts & Diary of an Honest Woman and check out each others hair and found that Gary and his team had gone even further to make sure we enjoyed our evening and surprised us with an amazing raffle. Unbelievably we both won a prize, with Danielle bagging a gorgeous and quirky Bone China Teapot and myself a conditioning hair treatment worth £150! We’ve been using the teapot non stop in our weekly meetings and I can’t wait to go and have my treatment in the salon.

After gathering for some fun pictures together we left with a wonderful bag of goodies including the fabulous hair irons used to style our hair that evening, which have been so well received by us that they’ve made many a cameo on our Instagram feeds, especially the in-car hair straighteners which have literally changed Danielle’s life!! I’m pleased to say that Corioliss have trumped our previous straighteners, which have now been placed in retirement for this cooler, sleeker brand.

A big thank you from us both to all involved, including Gary Forde and his team, Corioliss for such a wonderful event. Natalie & Danielle xx
