Jamie Wei Huang is one of the shows we get excited about each season. Having watched this young designer make her way through the ranks each season, it is nice to see the aesthetical changes as her fashion career flourishes. From textured leathers and zips to horse hair pointed wedged heels and monochrome prints. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for AW16.
In September, we headed straight to Jamie Wei Huang for our first show, where we were joined Front row by our friend and PR Deborah from Dairy of an Honest Woman blog. We absolutely loved Huang’s edgy collection last season so were intrigued to see what she had in store for SS16.
With a strict colour palette of Blue, red, black and white, SS16 for Jamie Wei Huang and the devil was in the detail. Literally! As electric blue and red patches of a frightening Devils face adorened lighter then air white silk dresses.
Handbags were also adorned with Wei Huangs devil mascot.
The Co-ord set seems to be staying for SS16 but Wei Hung has taken it one step further carrying her matchy-matchy right down to the feet.
Accessories were also a strong point, and hard wear was once again a point of inspiration as earrings made of leather and finished in Chunky silver seemed weightless on the models ears.
Pony skin seemed perfect for now and tomorrow.
All in all an inspiring show, Jamie is the nicest person so do pop down to see her presentation over LFW. We certainly will not be missing it!
