Bank Holiday Basics – Its All about Layering & Thermals | Lady Loves Fashion

On Easter Saturday and I (Danielle) was in Scotland visiting my family and dragging out my 30th birthday celebrations. Naturally. It was, bloody freezing up there to say the least. With steady rainfall and gusty winds, I did have to ask myself wtf when I looked at my case and saw all the non appropriate clothing I had brought with me. Luckily, my mum got me a few bits as an Easter gift which I got early … Some thermal tops from Marks and Sparks. And let me tell you, these slim fitting tops are just perfect for layering. And even more perfect since I didn’t pack warm clothing. (Wishful thinking.)

Today I am wearing the black glittery one. Natalie will literally die when she sees that this is polka dot – as I usually have a personal hate towards anything spotty. However this is an exception since the dots are so small, and a little sparkly so we can all live with that. It fits like a glove, without being too clingy. The top is long on the body so it doesn’t ride up when moving (one of my personal hates). The top is part of the Heatgen range at M&S. I also got one in a dark green. Having worn this top all day in town I almost felt like I needed to de-layer half way through the day because I was so warm!

I teamed this long sleeved thermal top with my Gap Jeans, a little cardigan and a grey scarf – also from M&S. Accessorised with my favourites, the zodiac necklace by Catherine Zoraida & my personalised Posh Totty number.

M&S have a sale on some of their HeatGen range at the moment so it is worth taking a look and stocking up. They are great little basics!
