Christmas in July 2016 | Carluccios

Words: Natalie Courtois

I spoke about the fabulous press day I attended at Liberty London , but today it’s all about the Carluccio’s press day. And I warn you. You are going to be watering at the mouth after reading this!

4ft Perspex Christmas trees in bright colours with fake snow surrounding them and giant cut out Pannetone are not exactly what you’d expect to see on a sunny July lunchtime but we’ve come to expect nothing less of Christmas in July here at Lady Loves! The local diner’s next door however were looking very confused as us press posed for photographs in the snow!

Rich, bold colour is something I associate with Christmas at Carluccios and colour was both on the menu as well as on the packaging for their event.

Greeted with a ice cold glass of Prosecco (much needed in the summer heat) I looked through the Christmas presents and food ideas on display before digging into the vast feast they had laid on.

Unsurprising it was extremely busy, as we press had all timed our arrival around lunchtime, but there was more then plenty of both food and drink to go around such is the Italian way!

I have to say I feel an unhealthy amount of excitment about the prospect of feasting on their Prosecco Panettone  and Grisini (giant dark chocolate covered Breadsticks ) this Christmas and their Advent Calender filled with adorable foil wrapped chocolates is top of the list for my little ones.

The range has already launched in store and online and they have a special Christmas menu which launches later this month making it the perfect place for Christmas celebrations, be those at home or at one of their restaurants country wide.
As the Italians would say ‘Bon Natale’
