JOMO Knit In A Night – Wool And The Gang Heal The Wool Beat It Beanie

One of the wonderful things about these knitting kits from Wool And The Gang, is how easy it is to create something, with very little to no experience before. Providing you are trying an ‘easy’ pattern. I have been working my way through various easy patterns and slowly working into intermediate ones, as I learn more and become comfortable with the techniques. When WATG sent me their Beat It Beanie I was really keen to try it, having knit easier hats in the past, this one tackled a few new techniques which I was keen to get stuck into.

The beauty of not knowing what to do, in this day in age is not really a problem, with the internet at our fingertips and endless videos and step by step tutorials to get you going. WATG have their own dedicated tutorial videos to guide you through the techniques you find within their patterns. It’s foolproof. Seriously. As long as you have eyes and ears, you can do this.

The Beat It Beanie features the brands new Heal the Wool collection. A sustainable yarn, made from recycled wool, where 30% of the yarn price is invested into Friends of the Earth. Heal the Wool feels so unbelievably soft, you would have no idea that it was recycled. And the fact it’s doing it’s bit for the Earth, makes it a brilliant mindful & conscious purchase.

I opted for ‘Pink Lemonade’ as I figured it would compliment my blonde highlights, and I must say, it does do this rather well. The pattern is very easy to follow, in fact if it had not been for a slight mess up towards the end, I would have completed this Beanie in an evening. It’s a super quick easy chunky knit, and with the way the weather has been recently, this Beanie is my new best friend!

So there you have it! A little valentines pink treat to me, from me, made by me. Wool and the Gang also have 25% off yarns at the moment … worth stocking up on your favourites!
